A Woman Was Looking to Adopt a Kitty that Has Been at the Shelter for the Longest and Found a Deaf Beautiful Kitty To Love

Bridgid Staub from San Antonio, Texas got back home after a monthlong treatment prior this year. She felt something was absent. “I felt incomplete. After a lot of thought, I decided to go down to my city’s animal services shelter to see if I connected with any of the cats,” Bridgid told Catstore.co

Bridgid went to Antonio Animal Care Services and asked about a feline that had been there the longest. “The woman in a split second pointed out Cali to me.”

Cali has been a stray her whole life. She was found completely deaf and estimated to be a senior based on her few remaining teeth.

“I asked which feline had been there the longest, and got back home with a hard of hearing, toothless, senior lovebug.”

“She was a beautiful calico cat with huge green eyes. When she was let out of her cage, she immediately let out a very loud and different sounding ‘meow.’ This made me smile for the first time in a while,” Bridgid told Catstore.co

The kitty went straight to the sink and meowed until Bridgid turned on the faucet. “After she got her sip of water, she focused her attention on me. She headbutted my hand until I pet her and then she laid down and curled up, enjoying my scritches.”

Right then and there, Bridgid realized she had brought home the perfect feline. Cali who had carried on with a stray life locked onto her human.

A few days later, Cali left the shelter for good. “She didn’t sleep at all the first night. She was so hyper-vigilant and anxious about her new surroundings,” Bridgid said. “The next morning it was as if a light had been switched on. She curled up on my lap while I was on the couch and fell asleep.”

The sweet kitty understood that she was at last home. “As far back as at that point, she has stayed asleep from sundown to sunset (directly beside me and now and then sharing my cushion) and has been the greatest nestle bug,” Bridgid revealed to Catstore.co “She brings such a great amount of happiness into my life and I am thankful for the point that I chose to embrace,” Bridgid disclosed to Catstore.co

“This is so cliche, but so very true for me… I may have saved her life by adopting her, but she has very much saved my life as well!”
